Tottenham Hotspur fans may not believe what Darren Ambrose has said on TalkSport following a major development in north London.
On Tuesday afternoon, it was announced a £150m injection of cash will be pumped into the Lilywhites this summer to continue their development under Antonio Conte.
And in the light of the news, Ambrose has suggested Spurs should sell Harry Kane if they are offered £150m for the England captain this summer.
Kane had a difficult start to the campaign, but certainly ended it in style as he finished the 2021/22 campaign with 17 Premier League goals and nine assists (via Transfermarkt).
However, there has been some speculation over whether Kane will be still at Spurs next season if Conte was to depart over the summer, leading to Ambrose commenting on a hypothetical summer bid.
Ambrose said: “If he’s guaranteed the full £150m, I would be very, very tempted to sell him – if the full £150m would be added to the current transfer budget that they’re going to have.”
“He’s difficult to replace we know that. Not impossible, difficult.”
Would you sell Kane for £150m this summer?
Yes
No
TIF Thoughts on Ambrose’s comments…
On the face of it, we can imagine a lot of Tottenham fans would completely dismiss the notion of selling a player who has netted 248 goals for their club.
However, £150m would be an enormous amount of money for a player who has just two years remaining on his current deal and is nearing 29 years old.
But we struggle to see a situation this summer where Kane leaves, with Conte reportedly pleased with the ambition being shown by the club in the early stages of the off-season.
With £150m of extra funding being provided by ENIC, Spurs are not in a position where they will be needing to raise funds this summer to spend big.
And with the way Conte has got his front three playing in unison, there is surely no transfer figure that would persuade him to sell Kane this summer.

The best way I know how to answer that poll above is, if we didn’t have Kane but was given the 150 Million to spend?.. He’d be my choice to spend the money on!!!!!
No point have this conjecture as no one will offer anywhere near £150m for Kane. You might as well say ‘would you sell Davies for £50m. However Tottenham should never sell Kane. Full stop. You should not sell your best player AND make a rival stronger especially when you’ve employed the best manager in the business and got into the CL
