Graeme Bailey has revealed on the Talking Transfers podcast who Arsenal are leading the chase for ahead of this summer’s transfer window.

It looks set to be a very exciting summer transfer window for Arsenal who are reportedly in talks with Gabriel Jesus, who Fabrizo Romano believes is top of the club’s shopping list with the Gunners set to also lose two strikers as free agents in the form of Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette.

Would Tielemans start for Arsenal?

However, the front line isn’t the only area that they will seemingly be improving as earlier this year Sky Sports reported that the Gunners were very much interested in signing Wolves’ Ruben Neves, who has been with the Midlands club since 2017.

Midfield appears to be a priority for Mikel Arteta to improve as Bailey claims they are leading the race for Youri Tielemans’ signature.

(26:10) “From our understanding Arsenal are leading the chase in the Premier League and they can afford him so there is interest from Juventus as well as Atletico Madrid but I think a trip to London does fascinate Tielemans so it wouldn’t surprise me if he comes through the door at the Emirates.”

Aubameyang injury update at Arsenal

Where did Arsenal sign these players from, let's start with an easy one! Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

The Belgian midfielder would not likely cost Arsenal a whole load of money considering that he’s out of contract next summer and there appeared to be no sign of him looking to extend his stay at the King Power stadium, and if ‘London does fascinate’ the midfielder then this move could be a natural one to happen.

While it hasn’t been a great season for Tielemans with his dribbling numbers largely down on last season when it comes to progressing the ball forward and carrying it into the final third, he appears to be perhaps playing deeper with a more mature head having completed a higher percentage of passes this season compared to last term.
