Celtic fans will be in love with this latest footage straight out of Lennoxtown to have emerged on Celtic’s Instagram account.

As the SPFL league gets ready for the split as the season heads towards its close, Celtic hold a commanding lead at the top of the table with a six-point gap to their city rivals in second place, despite finishing the campaign before a huge 25 points behind the league winners.

Should Celtic sign Maeda permanently?

This season has been a very impressive one for Celtic as they brought in a new manager quite deep into the summer, but Ange Postecoglou has managed his first major club job outside of either Australia or Japan superbly, especially considering there have also been 17 new faces arriving this season.

One of those is Daizen Maeda, who arrived on loan in January and has become an instant hit, with Celtic fans having seen him net seven goals and register one assist, which may not be a surprise judging by this Instagram footage to have emerged of the attacker being the last player out on the training pitch.

TIF Thoughts on Maeda…

Interesting first question, how many Celtic fans were inside Ibrox?

Maeda has already received an awful lot of praise for his recent performance in the recent Old Firm derby and now it gets better as the striker is clearly willing to do everything he can to succeed and help the Hoops out as he puts in extra work ahead of the latest Rangers clash this weekend.

It’s been a very impressive start to life as a Bhoy for Maeda, who’s been trusted heavily since arriving in Glasgow, featuring 16 times out of a possible 18 matches across all competitions, which would point towards Celtic looking to make his move a permanent one come the summer.

It has been reported that Celtic have an option to buy Maeda in the summer, which, if he can continue this sort of form into next season and for years to come, would prove to be a great piece of business. Of course, he would not be the first example that Celtic have struck up with players in the J League this season, with Kyogo Furuhashi arriving last summer and hitting the ground running – as he’s currently the club’s top scorer despite missing 30 games through injury.
