Journalist Michael Bridge has claimed that Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise is going right to the top after impressing this season.

Olise has featured regularly for Crystal Palace this season, featuring 22 times in the Premier League after signing from Reading in the summer. In those 22 appearances, he has started just 10 times.

The London-born Frenchman has been part of the youthful approach that Patrick Vieira has opted for this season alongside the likes of Marc Guehi and Conor Gallagher. This approach has worked as Palace currently sit 10th in the league table.

With Olise hitting the ground running at Selhurst Park, Bridge spoke to GiveMeSport and highlighted where he sees the 20-year-old’s career heading.

He said: “Michael Olise, who, in my opinion, is going to go right to the very top. Crystal Palace are a very clear sign of good recruitment, good Championship recruitment as well, with Eberechi Eze and Olise.”

TIF Thoughts on Michael Bridge’s comments…

Olise is enduring in his first season in the Premier League and has impressed in terms of stats. In the league, he has seven goal involvements, has created seven big chances and has an average passing accuracy of 83%, as per SofaScore.

He joined Palace for just over £8m and is proving to be a great signing, especially for someone who is just 20 years old and already proving that he can cut it in the top flight.

Vieira’s side currently sit in 10th place in the league, and this is a huge improvement from the last campaign when they finished in 14th place under former boss Roy Hodgson, so perhaps this is an ideal place for Olise to grow.
