Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves could possibly have a choice between two huge clubs in the summer to choose from as potential suitors.

This is according to journalist Mike Keegan, who was speaking on the latest edition of Touchline Talk to discuss the Portuguese ace’s future at Molineux.

Do you expect Neves to leave this summer?

Yes

Yes

No

No

The Daily Mail journalist believes Arsenal are showing interest in the 25-year-old, with Barcelona also a possible destination on offer ahead of the summer window.

There has been a lot of speculation surrounding the Wolves ace and his future for a while now, with Manchester United also believed to be interested.

However, it is apparent Keegan believes if the La Liga giants do hold a serious interest in the midfielder, he would expect Neves to choose the Camp Nou as his next destination.

He said: “I know that Arsenal are interested, but then there’s also the Barcelona link as well. If you’re Neves, he’s from Portugal, it’s kind of do you want to live in Barcelona or do you want to live in London?

“I can’t see him staying at Wolves next season. He would be a great signing for Arsenal, there’s no two ways around that. I just wonder, if the interest from Barcelona is as strong as we think it is, then I’d say Barcelona is probably his next destination.”

TIF Thoughts on Neves’ future…

The Portuguese midfielder had his Wolves future questioned last summer, and with the summer window now on the horizon, it seems it is going to be another window of speculation.

And this time around, we do wonder whether it will see the 25-year-old seek a move away from Molineux with just two years remaining on his current deal.

It would perhaps seem slightly harsh to leave Wolves after what has been an impressive season so far, however, with some of Europe’s biggest clubs being linked, there should be few fans who would begrudge him a potential move.

Neves has been a great servant for the club over the years, but after five seasons with the Wanderers, perhaps he is now looking to make the step up to a Champions League-calibre side.
