Journalist Paul Brown has claimed West Ham United could be set for a huge transfer window where they could pull off an ambitious signing.

Since David Moyes was introduced for the second time at West Ham, their form has seen a drastic change, last season he led them to a sixth-placed finish, and they narrowly missed out on the top four by just two points.

This term, they have continued this fine form as they again sit in sixth place and are in contention for European qualification.

The Hammers could be handed a huge boost in terms of the calibre of players they could bring in during the summer transfer window, as they are currently in the Europa League semi-finals, and if they go on to win the competition then that would give them automatic Champions League football.

With the Hammers potentially playing Champions League football next season, Paul Brown spoke to GIVEMESPORT and predicted Moyes’ side to pull off an ambitious signing:

“I would suspect this summer might be the one where they manage to pull something like that off [ambitious signings]. And obviously if they get in the Champions League, that would make a huge difference to being able to attract some of those names,” Brown said.

Although West Ham may not qualify for the Champions League next season via the Premier League, they are potentially three away from gaining status in the competition by winning the Europa League and this will give Moyes a huge boost ahead of the summer transfer window.

It is not only massive in terms of attracting players, as the opportunity to play in the luxurious competition would provide increased pulling power, but also in terms of keeping their current talent, with the likes of Declan Rice being linked with potential moves away from the club.
