Presenter David Brown has dished out high praise for Leeds United winger Jack Harrison amid some recent good form.

The 25-year-old has netted three times in his past three league games, helping the Whites pick up seven points along the way and distance themselves from any major relegation danger.

However, the winger hasn’t always been the most appreciated at times this season. Indeed, pundit Peter Crouch slammed the player for his efforts in a recent defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

Does Jack Harrison deserve more credit for his goals this season?

Since then, though, he’s managed to change his form and Brown was keen to highlight Harrison’s fine goalscoring record while speaking on the One Leeds Fan Channel.

The presenter said: “Jack Harrison’s numbers in the Premier League are a joke.”

He then praised his efficient style of play, saying: “I want players who can score goals and make goals. Don’t want you to look good, don’t need to do 13 pirouettes in the middle of the pitch.”

TIF Thoughts on Jack Harrison and Leeds…

In fairness to Brown, Harrison has scored nine goals for the club in all competitions despite the aforementioned criticism the winger has picked up at times this season.

That tally means only Raphinha has netted on more occasions this term for Leeds. The Brazilian has 10 efforts to his name, while Rodrigo is the next best with six goals to his name.

Considering the sort of recognition Raphinha is getting for his performances – with the Brazilian linked with a summer move to Barcelona – it’s probably fair Harrison also gets some credit.

It’s not only this season he has shone. Indeed, last season, he was directly involved in 16 goals in 38 Premier League games.

No wonder Brown calls Harrison’s numbers ‘a joke’.
