Presenter KageyVision has urged Jesse Marsch to go out and sign Ben Foster in the summer transfer market for Leeds United.

At the moment, it looks as though the Whites have done enough to secure their status as a Premier League club for another season as they sit eight points above the bottom three with just six games to play.

With that in mind, some fans may have already turned their heads toward the upcoming transfer window with regard to how they can upgrade the squad.

Should Leeds sign Ben Foster this summer?

Yes

No

No

While discussing such matters on the One Leeds Fan Channel, Kagey tipped a surprise name in Foster as a way of adding some good depth and experience to their current goalkeeping options.

He explained his thinking, saying: “I just think you need an experienced head to go with, and [someone] who can step in if it ever gets tough for Meslier, but is also giving him the experience, is giving him the knowledge, the know-how. Ben Foster is a decent shout.”

TIF Thoughts on Ben Foster and Leeds…

Interestingly, Foster even called Leeds fans ‘bonkers’ and lauded the stadium earlier this season.

As things stand, Illan Meslier is the Leeds No 1. Indeed, he has played in all 32 league games this season. However, he is still only just 22 years old, while backup option Kristoffer Klaesson is only 21 and has yet to play an entire Premier League match.

If Marsch is left concerned by this relative lack of experience, he could well go out to add a little extra in the transfer market this summer. And if he turned to Foster, he’d find it in abundance.

Indeed, the Watford man has got 385 appearances in England’s top flight, having played for a number of other clubs such as West Bromwich Albion, Birmingham City and Manchester United.

What’s more, with the ‘Orns looking as though they will probably be relegated, and with Foster’s contract up in the summer, the 39-year-old could be available to steal on a free transfer.

Taking all that into account, it’s easy to see the logic in why Kagey wants this move to happen.
