Sky Sports presenter Joe Thomlinson has claimed that Wolverhampton Wanderers could see a decline next season in the Premier League.

Wolves have been in really good form overall in the Premier League this season and currently sit in 7th place in the Premier League table with a chance to secure a European spot ahead of next season.

However, if they do not secure a European spot, then they could see several players leave the club, as the likes of Ruben Neves, Max Kilman, and Romain Saiss have been linked with moves away from Molineux.

Although, Kilman is seemingly being eyed for a potential contract extension and Neves isn’t shy of declaring his love for Wolves so nothing is guaranteed.

Joe Thomlinson answered a fan on Twitter who asked, “What teams do you think will pick up steam next season and what ones do you think will decline?” Thomlinson replied “Incline: Newcastle Decline: Wolves”

TIF Thoughts on Wolves…

Although Wolves have been solid this season, there have been times where their form has dropped. Before their two recent victories, they had lost three on the bounce against Crystal Palace, Arsenal, and West Ham United.

Despite this, Wolves are currently one place off 6th and sit just two points behind, so they still have a very good opportunity to clinch a European spot for next season.

It’s perhaps too hard to judge whether Wolves will be on a bit of a decline next season as the summer transfer window will play a big part in terms of outgoings and incomings.

But, one thing that will excite Wolves fans will be the fact that the club have now exited UEFA’s FFP control regime, which may allow Fosun and Bruno Lage to splash a bit more cash in the summer.
