Tottenham Hotspur loanee Pierluigi Gollini has sent Antonio Conte a reminder of his quality in a fresh Instagram post.

During the summer, Spurs signed the goalkeeper on a season-long loan from Atalanta, with the option to make it a permanent deal.

However, his first-team chances have been limited and he has yet to appear in a single Premier League game. What’s more, he doesn’t seem to be in his manager’s plans, having played just three times for Conte in all competitions, with his last chance coming back in January.

Will Pierluigi Gollini be a spurs player next season?

Not keen to shrink away from the challenge, the Italian shot-stopper has clearly tried to put himself back in the picture after sharing some recent training ground footage.

Indeed, in a video posted to Instagram, Gollini can be made making a number of good saves against the likes of Son Heung-min, Matt Doherty and more.

TIF thoughts on Pierluigi Gollini and Tottenham…

He may want to get back into the starting XI, but even with this video, it feels as though Gollini’s chances are pretty slim. Aside from an injury, it’s hard to see first-choice goalkeeper and club captain Hugo Lloris being dropped any time soon.

Earlier this season, The Athletic reported that the were those at the club who had some question marks regarding the Italian’s fitness. If that really was the case, it’s easy to understand why he has failed to force his way into the team with any regularity.

As things stand, it doesn’t seem that likely that Spurs will look to made the loan move a permanent one come the end of the season. Still, there’s an outside chance that he can do enough to prove his value to Conte before the summer – perhaps his training ground efforts can help his cause.
