Rangers could be in for a difficult summer if Alfredo Morelos’ latest development is hinting towards a possible exit.

And Pete O’Rourke believes the Colombian’s decision to change his agent could well be a sign he is looking for a potential exit from Ibrox in the summer.

Do you think Morelos will leave in the summer?

No

The football journalist was speaking to This Is Futbol just weeks after the 25-year-old made the decision to change agents with just over one-year remaining on his Rangers deal.

And the Colombian has made it no secret in the past he would be open to a move away from Ibrox with dreams of playing in one of Europe’s top five leagues.

Morelos is currently an injury concern for Rangers ahead of their derby clash coming up next but it is apparent O’Rourke feels the agent change could be cause for concern over the striker’s future:

“It’s the obvious link that maybe a move is a real goer in the summer as well,” said O’Rourke.

TIF Thoughts on O’Rourke’s comments…

It is evident how important Morelos is to Rangers given he has hit double figures in every season in the Scottish top-flight having now played in five campaigns for the Gers (via Transfermarkt).

With just over one-year remaining on his current deal, it makes this summer a massively important window for the future of the Colombian.

O’Rourke feels his decision to change agents could be a sign the £11.7m-rated ace would like a move away from Ibrox and if that is the case, it will be the last window where Rangers would be warranted to ask decent money for him given his contract situation.
