Reporter Chris Jack has claimed that despite signing a new deal with Rangers, Glen Kamara could leave the Scottish side in the summer.

Glen Kamara has featured regularly for Rangers this campaign with 28 appearances to his name, whilst scoring three goals and registering three assists, according to Transfermarkt. Last season, he was a key part of the Rangers side that won the Scottish Premiership and was a hit with Steven Gerrard who revealed his love for the midfielder.

His consistent performances in Scotland have attracted interest from Premier League clubs, with the main club concerned being Aston Villa.

But, Rangers penned the 26-year-old down to a new deal in an attempt to fight off interest from other clubs.

Unfortunately for Rangers, this interest for Glen Kamara is still present, and Chris Jack highlighted to GIVEMESPORT that there is still every chance that he may leave in the summer.

“If, somehow, they can convince them to do a Glen Kamara and commit for another couple of years, that’s basically money in the bank. There’s every chance that Kamara will be sold in the summer. Because of his contract situation, Rangers will, obviously, naturally get a higher fee for him,” Jack said.

TIF Thoughts on Chris Jack’s comments…

Glen Kamara has been in impressive form recently for Rangers with an average player rating of 7.05 over his last five games in the SPFL, according to Sofascore. He has an average passing accuracy of 91% per game, 1.3 key passes per game, 23% goal conversion rate and has a successful dribble rate of 70%.

Kamara has a current market value of £5.4 million, according to Transfermarkt, but if a club wants to sign him in the summer then they may have to pay a higher sum due to him recently signing a new contract.

Steven Gerrard managed the 26-year-old during his reign at Rangers, so he will know his capabilities, and may well decide to go in for him in the summer.
