Celtic moved six points clear at the top of the table thanks to a dominant display at Celtic Park, blowing 10 man Ross County out of the water to keep their title hopes firmly in their own hands.

The game was dead and buried for Celtic just half an hour in. Giorgos Giakoumakis bagged a brace with Daizen Maeda adding a third before Kayne Ramsay saw red for the visitors.

Will Celtic win the league?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Giakoumakis was able to complete his hattrick in the second period, converting from the penalty spot to ensure a dominant, but routine win for Celtic.

Jota set up the opening goal for Giakoumakis, with the Portuguese star receiving plenty of plaudits for his performance.

The Celtic Way’s match ratings saw him get an 8/10, with the following said: “Back in the team on the right flank, it was during a foray on the opposite side that he made an almost immediate contribution with the deep back-post cross for Giakoumakis’s opening goal. Never a shrinking violet even when not enjoying his best day, it’s difficult to envision just how maddening it must be to encounter him in full flow, as he was for much of this one. Persistent, influential and elegant, a fully rested Jota after the international break is one scary prospect… for the rest of the league.”

In his 62 minutes on the pitch he had 62 touches of the ball, that’s a touch of the ball a minute! He also attempted 21 crosses, registering the best overall rating on SofaScore.com, bar the hattrick hero himself.

This English Premier League winner almost moved to Celtic.

The win for Celtic sees them extend their lead at the top of the table over their nemesis Rangers who are in action later today. The pressure has well and truly been put on the Gers to get a result.
