Celtic stretched their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership thanks to a dominant win over 10 man Ross County, brushing them aside 4-0 at Celtic Park.

The man who will be taking the majority of the headlines will be Giorgos Giakoumakis who bagged a hattrick to be the main man for the Hoops during yet another top drawer performance.

Daizen Maeda was the other player for the hosts to get on the scoresheet, converting after an assist from the hattrick hero himself.

Although only involved in the one goal, Jota was still praised for his contributions. BBC Sport’s Colin Moffat praised the Portuguese star, saying: “Celtic are piling on the pressure, with County in survival mode. Jota, continuing to terrorise the visiting defence, not long ago fired into the side-netting and now captain Callum McGregor sends a long-ranger just wide.”

It’s safe to say he was heavily involved in everything Ange Postecoglou’s side did today. He had 62 touches of the ball, compare that to the hattrick hero down the middle who only had 27. That’s over double the touches of the Man of the Match on SofaScore.com!

Which forward played for Celtic's academy?

The dominant win by the Hoops piles the pressure on their enemy, Rangers, who take to the field tomorrow looking to close the gap back to three points. They travel to Dundee in a must win game, if they slip up again the title could be all but done, with Celtic looking in imperious form.
