Celtic finally ended their Livingston hoodoo, leaving the Tony Macaroni Arena with all three points after a comfortable win to further move away from Rangers with their lead at the top of the table.

The Hoops took a 1-0 lead into the interval thanks to a real striker’s goal from Daizen Maeda. Ange Postecoglou’s half-time team talk must have been a good one, as within 10 minutes of the second period, the lead was tripled.

First, a Nicky Devlin own goal saw the Hoops 2-0 up before James Forrest bagged making it 3-0. Andrew Shinnie responded practically instantly for the hosts to make it 3-1, but that completed the scoring for the clash.

The match ratings saw James Forrest stand out, getting a 9/10 from Jonathon Moar of the Scottish Daily Express justifying it with: “A perhaps surprise inclusion from the start, the Scotland winger was a constant threat and gave his brother a torrid time! Bagged his first goal of the season early in the second half.”

Forrest was in inspired form, completing every pass he attempted bar one, registering a rather impressive 96% pass accuracy in the clash. He only lost possession eight times, making two out of his three attempted crosses.
