Tottenham Hotspur and Antonio Conte had an incredibly frustrating January transfer window, missing out on their main targets and having to make last minute deals on deadline day.

They did bring in Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski, with both slotting in nicely already, especially the latter. The Swedish wide man has scored big goals against the likes of Manchester City and Leeds United.

While the main targets were missed out on, Conte will be satisfied that they made some movement and are already looking to the future as they are after 24 year-old Gleison Bremer from Torino.

The end for Joe Rodon?

The young centre back is running out of time to make an impression at Spurs and he isn’t getting younger. At 24 years of age, his time to be classed as a youngster is getting less and less, with playing time still limited.

He only has eight games under his belt this season, having to settle mainly for the cup competitions. He as one Premier League outing, registering 78 minutes, although, he was subbed on early that game so is yet to start in the league.

With Rodon struggling for minutes as it is, another defensive signing will only limit his chances even more than what they already are. Another signing at the back will surely leave the Welshman looking for a new club come the summer?

Daniel - Levy

How many times did Mido score for Spurs in the 2006/07 season?

Chance for Daniel Levy?

As mentioned in the introduction, it was a painful January for Spurs and Conte. He saw Luis Diaz snub them for Liverpool as the Reds hijacked the deal. It looks to be a huge miss too given how good he has looked at Anfield, even getting recognition from LFC rival John Terry.

Likewise, Adama Traore snubbed the London club, opting to return to Catalan giants Barcelona. To add insult to injury, it was a lengthy saga throughout the month, only to miss out on him. The salt is rubbed into the wounds at the reported contract. He turned down a mega wage at Spurs to take a cheap contract at Barcelona.

The frustrations got the better of Conte, with Darren Lewis at the time suggesting that he could look to walk away from Spurs given the nightmare they endured.

If Daniel Levy can get a deal over the line for the Brazilian rated at £18m, then he could show Conte that he means business and a project at Spurs is one he can get behind.
