Leeds United didn’t get the instant bounce in terms of results from a new manager as Jesse Marsch’s debut in the dugout ended in defeat against Leicester City.

The game may not have brought about any points, but positive signs are certainly there. It was a much improved Leeds side despite the outcome being the same with only Harvey Barnes’ strike midway through the second half being the difference between the two teams.

Will Marsch keep Leeds in the Premier League?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

One player who Ian Wright was not happy with however, was Raphinha, and speaking on Match of the Day. he said: “I think Raphinha is someone who’s got to do a lot more, very disappointed with the way he played today. I think he’s got to score that [close range chance]. It was a good save but he’s got to score that and I think he is somebody that needs to do more, a lot more for me. Too much to be playing as poorly as today [ability].”

It certainly was a day to forget for the star man. He missed a sitter like Wright mentioned, but he also lost possession an eye watering 22 times in the clash.

Which comedian supports the Whites?

He had no successful dribbles in the game either. For someone so good with the ball at his feet that is hard to comprehend. SofaScore.com, who provided those stats, made him the worst player on the pitch from the starting teams, rating him 6.4.

The improvements overall were still visible just watching the game, so Leeds fans will be confident that Marsch has enough time to turn things around, especially with Bamford ready to return.
