Footage has emerged on Instagram hinting towards a possible return for Kyogo Furuhashi in the near future after his Celtic injury.

The Japanese forward has been out of action for a number of months now having sustained a hamstring injury last year which has seen him miss a large number of games.

Celtic posted footage on Instagram of their players training ahead of their clash on the weekend in the Scottish Premiership against Ross County.

And the Japanese international can be spotted in the background as he appears to be stepping up his recovery efforts as he seemed to be training on his own.

Ange has since dropped an update on the attacker and stated:

“He is working through his rehab and I’m sure he will be available soon.”

Perhaps the international break is coming at the right time for Celtic with a short break before their derby clash against their title rivals.

Kyogo’s potential return will be a huge boost for Ange Postecoglou with his side still sitting top of the table with a three-point advantage over Rangers as they near the grudge match at Ibrox.

The Japanese ace had been in sensational form for the Bhoys before picking up the injury having scored eight goals in the Premiership and 16 across all competitions (via Transfermarkt).

Given Postecoglou’s men have not lost in the league since September, having their top scorer nearing contention should only strengthen their hopes of getting their hands on the Scottish crown.
