Leeds United ace Diego Llorente did not impress journalist Beren Cross in their sensational victory on Friday night.

Jesse Marsch’s side will now go into the international break on the back of two consecutive victories in the Premier League amid their relegation battle.

But it was apparent the Spanish defender’s display at Molineux was a part of Leeds’ miserable first half which saw the Whites go behind after 26 minutes.

Having played the large majority of the first half, the Spaniard had only touched the ball 23 times and won just one of his three contested ground duels (via SofaScore).

Llorente was taken off before the break through injury but it was clear he did not impress Cross who awarded the 28-year-old with a mere 4/10 rating:

“A very difficult evening for Llorente, who never dealt with Raul Jimenez and looked naive in how far he followed him away from his backline at times. Looked shaky and faffed with the ball in his own box,” Cross Wrote for Leeds Live.

TIF Thoughts on Cross’ rating…

It was an incredible result for Leeds and Marsch as they head into the international break with three huge points on the night after Everton picked themselves up a win.

However, there will be some concern raised by Llorente’s display, the Spaniard made a poor start and didn’t recover before coming off.

With Liam Cooper on the bench available, could Marsch look to bring in the Scotsman when Leeds return to action next month?
