Sportswriter Brian McNally has claimed on Twitter that despite a 0-0 draw on the weekend, it could not have ended up much better for Celtic.

Celtic only managed to pick up a point away to Hibernian, who are sixth in the SPFL and had won just once in their previous seven league matches, however, that disappointment was quickly forgotten on Sunday when their title rivals could only manage a draw themselves.

Will Celtic win the league this season?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

The Bhoys could only watch on as Rangers stormed into a 2-0 lead only for them to be pegged back in the second half against Motherwell, despite dominating the game and finishing it having had 30 shots on goal.

McNally probably shared what many Celtic fans were thinking on Sunday, writing on Twitter: ‘What an unexpected reprieve for Celtic as Rangers blow a 2-0 lead to let Motherwell come back to draw 2-2. Marvellous surprise when final score came through.’

TIF Thoughts on Celtic…

Ange Postecoglou and the Celtic fans will have been nervous watching on as Rangers looked set to close in on the top spot and put Celtic under huge pressure for the rest of the season, however, that nervousness will have turned into delight when their loan man Liam Shaw came on at half time and was part of the side which completed a stunning second-half comeback.

It was a disappointing week for Celtic, who were dumped out of the Europa Conference League by Bodo/Glimt heavily by an aggregate score of 5-1 and then failed to win in the SPFL for the first time since 22nd December.
