Antonio Conte would be open to selling on Sergio Reguilon from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer if the right money was to be offered.

That is according to the football journalist Pete O’Rourke who was speaking to This Is Futbol amid reports of the Spaniard’s future being in doubt.

Should Spurs sell Reguilon in the summer?

There have been some suggestions Reguilon could be in line for a possible return to La Liga in the summer with Real Madrid holding a buy-back clause and Barcelona believed to be interested.

Reguilon, who is valued at £22.5 million (as per Transfermarkt), did experience a spell on the sidelines since the turn of the year with Ryan Sessegnon getting a run of games in the starting XI.

However, he has since returned to the XI as a result of Sessegnon’s latest injury, but O’Rourke believes his future could still be away from north London in the summer, with Conte open to sourcing an alternative:

I think if he could get decent money for Reguilon, he would look elsewhere maybe to strengthen the squad and improve his options at left wing-back,” said O’Rourke.

TIF Thoughts on O’Rourke’s comments…

We will be interested to see how the summer window pans out for the 25-year-old given he has failed to set the league alight since signing back in 2020.

In Reguilon’s 65 appearances for Spurs across all competitions, the Spaniard has only been able to provide two goals and nine assists (via Transfermarkt).

Although both goals have come under Conte, the left wing-back has only been able to provide one assist under the Italian and we do wonder whether this will be enough to convince Conte he is the man who will nail down the spot on the left.
