Leeds United lost 1-0 to Leicester at the King Power Stadium, with the only goal coming midway through the second half as Harvey Barnes fired the hosts to a much needed victory, piling pressure on Jesse Marsch just one game in.

The new manager bounce brought about an improved performance overall, but still left Leeds pointless come full time. However, Ian Wright and Gary Lineker on Match of the Day were keen to praise the American as well as the Leeds fans.

Will Marsch keep Leeds in the Premier League?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Wright went on record saying: “Very positive, I’m sure the fans and the players are liking what they’re hearing because obviously they have to get used to a new manager because they’ve had such a talismanic one before, but Leeds fans were brilliant today, sung for Jesse Marsch and Bielsa, it was brilliant.”

While Lineker  was keen to note the improvements Marsch has already made: “I thought tactically Leeds were very good, very different as well in some ways.”

There’s no surprise the Leeds fans acted like they did. Marcelo Bielsa gave them their best memories of the Whites in recent times, but things were going wrong. They thanked him graciously while getting behind their new manager.

Leeds' all-time top Premier League goalscorer is Mark Viduka but how many did he score?

Marsch will need the fans on side to be the 12th man in their hunt for Premier League football next season. The result left Leeds in 16th place with a two point cushion to the drop zone. The worrying thing is, Leeds have played more than those around them, making their current position dangerous.
