Leeds United have been in turmoil, getting sucked back into a relegation fight, and looking likely to be one of the three sides sent to the Championship. Such form saw them make a change, replacing ‘icon‘ Marcelo Bielsa with Jesse Marsch.
One thing that Marsch will have to do instantly, is getting the stars back firing on all cylinders, including Raphinha.

The Brazilian has been struggling in recent weeks, with that struggle boiling over into frustration with Bielsa. The tension was there after he hooked the winger at half-time against Everton recently, leaving Raphinha far from impressed.
Phil Hay has gone on record to say: “There was frustration there and he and Bielsa spoke after the Everton game (when Raphinha was subbed at half-time). He’s one player who Marsch needs to start performing quickly.”
Raphinha only has a goal and assist in his last eight outings, form that Marsch clearly needs to be picked up if the Whites are to stay up, something echoed by Phil Hay in his pre-match discussion for The Athletic.

It’s clearly a huge challenge for Marsch, before a ball had been kicked in his tenure, Leeds sit just two places above the drop zone, holding a mere two point cushion.
