Leeds United fans will surely be angered after their latest defeat when they see this latest image to have emerged of a tackle on Luke Ayling, with the game aired on Amazon Prime.

Jesse Marsch will have been full of optimism heading into the match last night, with Leeds having put in a solid performance away to Leicester City last week and getting the full backing of Elland Road for the first time, however, that all fell flat on its face in a 3-0 defeat.

Will Leeds be relegated?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

The Whites were stunned by Aston Villa, who saw two of their defenders score on a night, which will have left a lot of Leeds fans worried and concerned as to where their season is going, with their club sitting just two points and two places above the bottom three having played two more games than Burnley in 18th.

Although, it could have looked a lot different had Ollie Watkins been punished for what appeared to be a dangerous tackle on Ayling after just 16 minutes with the scoreline at 0-0, which could have seen the momentum swing in Leeds’ favour early on in the game.

TIF Thoughts on this shocking challenge…

This was a low point in Leeds United's history, but how many points did they get in the 2003/04 campaign?

Adam Pope, a broadcaster for the BBC, described Leeds’ performance as ‘dire’, which may hint that even if the Whites had a man advantage, they would have struggled to break Villa down, but there is no getting away from the fact that Watkins’ tackle should perhaps have been punished.

Even if Leeds were terrible, their fans will likely point towards this decision not going their way and could well have been the catalyst for such a shocking display in what was a crucial match in their bid to avoid the drop.
