Newcastle United fans will be buzzing to see what Kieran Trippier has posted.
The Magpies’ first signing in January had made an excellent start to life on Tyneside before he picked up a cruel injury that saw him require surgery on a broken foot and could see him miss the rest of the season.
Is Trippier the signing of the season?
Yes!
No!
However, this has not stopped him from following and supporting the team having been part of the team photos after victories against both Brentford and Brighton, much to the annoyance of Gabriel Agbonlahor who claimed Trippier was just being with his teammates for the cameras.
Trippier has clearly not let this comment slide, as he’s edited a picture of himself into the team photo after their Southampton victory, with the full-back not making the trip, with the picture being accompanied by a caption reading ‘Always supporting the boys! I hope that’s allowed…’

There is clearly a great atmosphere and team bond within the squad, even from the players that aren’t starting games at the minute, like Trippier and someone such as Karl Darlow who’s visually delighted to be in the latest photo.
Trippier was the first signing of the PIF era and has clearly made a huge impact both on and off the pitch with his crucial goals and even players such as Ryan Fraser labelling him a monster, and given his pedigree within the game, may have been the catalyst for someone like Bruno Guimaraes to also join the club and be part of the journey.
