Presenter Joe Wainman has reacted on Twitter to footage emerging on Sunday as Marcelo Bielsa said his goodbyes to the Leedds United fans.

The 66-year-old managed his final game for Leeds at the weekend after it was announced on Sunday that the two parties had parted ways.

Were Leeds right to sack Bielsa?

And it was yet another heavy defeat for the Whites on Saturday, as they found themselves on the end of a 4-0 thumping from Tottenham Hotspur.

Footage emerged on Twitter of the Argentine boss being driven out of a Leeds facility on Sunday as he stopped to shake hands with fans and even sign a shirt.

However, the footage came to the frustration of Wainman, who was left gutted by the reality of Bielsa departing the club as he responded by tweeting: “Thank you, good night. I can’t cope.”

TIF Thoughts on Bielsa’s departure…

It is clear what the former Leeds manager meant to the fans going by the reaction of Wainman and the video to emerge online, who was clearly upset to see the 66-year-old leave the club.

And it is of no surprise given he was the man to lead the West Yorkshire club back to the Premier League for the first time in 16 years after what had been a miserable decade and a half for Leeds.

However, with the Argentine’s contract winding down to its conclusion in the summer and results not improving, we do think this was the right decision to make with their Premier League status on the line.
