Joe Wainman has taken to Twitter to express his thoughts on Leeds United increasing the prices of their season tickets for fans.

Leeds are now into their second consecutive Premier League campaign after staying up last season – something they hadn’t done for nearly 20 years. However, it appears that their fine performances in 2020/21 have come at a cost to fans.

Will Leeds be relegated this season?

On Wednesday afternoon, it was announced on Leeds United’s club website that season ticket prices were to be increased by 10% ahead of next season, despite a lot of families and fans still trying to recover from the pandemic.

Wainman, however, is not too annoyed at this latest price hike, claiming on Twitter: ‘10% increase is good IMO, it’s been 11 years since the last one, and it’s to be expected now we are in the Prem.’

TIF Thoughts on Leeds’ price increase…

While seeing ticket prices rise, which potentially makes it harder for fans to attend games because of financial constraints, just a 10% increase for a Premier League club doesn’t appear to be that bad.

Perhaps this increase will be widely accepted by a lot of Leeds fans if the extra money is going to be reinvested into the squad and allows the fans to have a better experience supporting their club if they are getting better players and playing better football.
