Mehrdad Ghodoussi has taken to Twitter to praise the Newcastle United fans, club, players and management after they recorded their third victory of the season.

All three of Newcastle’s victories this season have come under PIF’s ownership while being overseen by manager Eddie Howe, so it’s no surprise that part of the new ownership wanted to show their appreciation to everyone involved.

Newcastle fans sold out St James’ Park on Tuesday night for what was to be a second consecutive league victory, and with Ghodoussi, Amanda Staveley and Jamie Reuben all in attendance, they got to experience what a packed-out stadium under the lights is like.

Will Newcastle be relegated?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Ghodoussi used the word ‘incredible’ to describe the Geordie faithful as they helped roar their team on to victory in midweek, before going on to thank the players and coaching staff.

TIF Thoughts on Newcastle United’s fanbase…

The match against Everton saw a fully packed-out St. James’ Park display a massive surfer flag which covered the entire Gallowgate End, and Chris Waugh also tweeted about the huge roar which echoed around the stadium at the final whistle as the Magpies moved out of the bottom three.

A nice and easy one to start off with, how much is Callum Wilson worth?

Ghodoussi was clearly very impressed and taken aback by what the Newcastle fans did for the new owners, and how they helped push the players on with their singing and chanting throughout the match – which is something that will surely excite PIF for their plans moving forward, as having a big and loyal fanbase could help attract bigger players moving forward.
