A whole host of Celtic fans have reacted on Twitter to the news that Conor Hazard has left the club on loan.

Hazard has been with the club since 2014 when he joined their Under-17 side and has since worked his way up the age groups alongside having various loan spells, but has only been handed eight first-team appearances.

Will Celtic win the league?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

This has led to the 23-year old head out on loan for the next 12 months to Finnish side HJK Helsinki, which may not come as a surprise given that Joe Hart has started all but three games since joining the club and Scott Bain has just signed a new contract with the club.

A lot of Celtic fans on Twitter have flocked to this latest club news.

What have these Celtic fans been saying?

“That’s a random one. Wonder how much game time he will get at HJK”

@TBowdery27

“Conor’s future has been the subject of discussion on ACSOM over the last couple of weeks. This is the ideal move for him at this stage of his career. Bain cemented as backup after signing a new deal, but who is now third choice?”

@PaulJohnDykes

What a random, quality loan… a wee treat for @LewisLaird01!”

@Gastro_Celtic

“Random but good move for him. A year in a other country to ply his trade. Good Luck Conor”

@ParadisePlaques

“It will be good for him, get him some much needed game time”

@Goggs87official

“I think he’ll love it at HJK! They’re getting a decent goalkeeper who can only get better with more experience.”

@DefangedDevelon

“Interesting move for Conor, sampling a league abroad. Should be good for further development & speaks well of him, that he has accepted the opportunity.”

@Brennan_Media97

It will seemingly be a solid move for all parties, as Hazard will hopefully get consistent game time and also develop as both a player and person by being in a different country, while Celtic won’t have an overcrowded goalkeeping department.
