ExWHUemployee has revealed that West Ham United are eyeing up footballers from French football, and hold an interest in striker Ludovic Ajorque.
Up to this point in the January transfer market, the Hammers have failed to see a single new player join or leave the club (via Transfermarkt).
Despite that lack of activity so far, the east London outfit could still make some moves in the final week of the winter window. If they are, Ex has explained that Ligue 1 could perhaps be a possible area to target for recruitment, with RC Strasbourg striker Ajorque someone West Ham are keen on.

Indeed, while on The West Ham Way podcast, he said: “We always look in the French market as a potential place [for signings], and Germany as well – they are two countries that we have a particular focus on.
“France especially, because during [the pandemic] the French top teams; Marseille, other clubs – not Paris Saint-Germain, obviously – but other clubs struggled financially, so their players are available.
“For example, Strasbourg have some called Ludovic Ajorque, I think it’s pronounced. He’s, I think, about 6ft 6, I think that’s the guy. Apparently, he’s someone that we could be keen on.”

At 27 years of age, Ajorque should be a player in his prime – his 10 goals and seven assists in 20 league games this term certainly suggest as much.
In 122 outings for his current club, he is just shy of 50 goals, with 48 to his name, showing that he knows how to find the back of the net on a regular basis. He also has 18 assists, proving he is more than just a goalscorer.
Taking those stats into account and the fact that he may be available for a cut-price fee, as Ex suggests, then this move could be a risk worth taking in the January market for David Moyes and co.
