Richard Keys has been speaking on his own personal blog about influential Everton figures Farhad Moshiri and Alisher Usmanov.

Despite Everton edging ever closer to the relegation zone and fans protesting against the owners with banners saying ‘sack the board‘ at their latest game, which ended up being a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Aston Villa, Moshiri has increased his stake in the club to 94% and admitted that he’s determined to deliver at Everton.

Is Moshiri a good owner?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

While Moshiri is clearly the main man at Everton, Alisher Usmanov’s role is a lot more unclear, with the billionaire sponsoring the club’s training ground and having close ties to Moshiri, but is not actually on the board at Goodison Park.

Keys has delivered a damning claim on Moshiri and Usmanov’s willingness to sell the club.

He wrote: “Nobody could ever question Bill’s motives. But you can the ‘millionaire two’? Why did they buy the club? What was their purpose? Again – I’ve got a very good idea but I’m not going to put it into writing. It’s not hard to work out though, is it? And by the way – despite their denials when I last mentioned it – they’d sell in a heartbeat if they could.”

TIF Thoughts on Everton’s ownership…

While Moshiri’s willingness to continually invest in Everton over the years can’t be disregarded, his ability to pick a suitable long-term manager while listening to voices from the outside leaves a lot more to be desired given how many managers he’s gone through in recent years.

Keys’ reasons for publicly criticising the likes of Moshiri and Usmanov appear to have stemmed from seeing Everton fans take their anger out on Bill Kenwright after their latest defeat, in which supporters were videoed shouting at the club’s chairman, despite him being a long-time member in the boardroom, as well as a message being flown over Goodison Park criticising his tenure at the club.

Which of these Serie A stars did the Toffees miss out on?

We can see why Keys feel this is unfair, but the anger is surely not purely aimed at Kenwright and fans are simply desperate for success by any means necessary.
