Lots of Newcastle United fans have taken to Twitter to share their delight at the latest claim to emerge on Joelinton’s injury.
The Brazilian midfielder was taken off during the first half at Elland Road as a result of a groin problem, however, journalist Craig Hope was able to provide fans with a promising update.
Has Joelinton been NUFC's best player this season?
Yes
No
According to Hope, the Toon are hopeful the injury sustained to the 25-year-old is not as serious as first feared and that he should be able to return to the squad for their next game.
Eddie Howe’s side next take to the field in the Premier League on 8th February against Everton, and fans shared their thoughts on Twitter as Hope revealed the latest on Joelinton.
What did these Newcastle fans have to say?
“Finally, some good news on the injury front. Good to see big Joe will be available against Everton.”
We are not surprised to see these fans delighted at the news given the impressive displays shown by their £39.6m signing this season.
Having dropped back into a midfield role under Howe, the Brazilian has impressed and has been a regular, with 20 appearances in the Premier League across the campaign so far.
With the Toon struggling at the foot of the table, Howe will feel he needs his strongest XI going into every game as they look to claw their way out of the relegation zone, so this is surely good news.
