A large number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts on the latest claim to emerge on the future of Joe Rodon.

According to CBS Sports, the Lilywhites are reportedly open to selling the Welsh centre-back this month for a fee in the region of $27m (£20m).

And it is believed Newcastle United are interested in a potential loan deal for Rodon, whilst Brighton & Hove Albion could be interested in a permanent deal.

With what has been a difficult campaign for the 24-year-old defender so far, these fans took to Twitter in response to share their fears over potentially selling the Welsh international.

What did these Spurs fans have to say?

“He’ll be world class somewhere else and we’re gonna keep paying diers wages”

“That’s a Levy type price right there.”
“We will regret this in the future”
“I got him on my shirt”
“Can’t help but feel if we sell we have made a big mistake. I cannot work out how he has had so little game time when we struggle in defence and he plays so well for Wales”
“I am calling this right here and now, selling him will come back and haunt us.”
“Disappointing, the lads got a big future.”
“Would be a a mistake IMO. Maybe let him go on loan though as he needs game time”
“Would be fine with loaning Rodon somewhere he can get more playing time and one day bringing him back. If we sell him on a permanent basis, I will cry.”

After signing for Spurs in 2020, Rodon has only been able to make 20 appearances across all competitions, with just one of them coming in the Premier League this season.

Rodon has featured regularly for Wales despite a lack of game time at his club, yet the Welshman finds himself unable to earn a chance in the Spurs starting XI.

Despite barely featuring under Antonio Conte, it seems these fans have been impressed by what they have seen in the past and would prefer to see Spurs loan him this month over a potential sale.
