A number of Celtic fans have slammed Liel Abada for the performance he put in during the club’s recent match against Motherwell.
Over the weekend, a single goal by Tom Rogic, scored on the cusp of halftime, was enough to see the Bhoys claim all three points from their latest Scottish Premiership game.
However, despite seeing their side claim a 1-0 win, many Celtic supporters were not happy with the display of Abada – the 20-year-old started the match but was given just a 5.71 match rating on BBC after the final whistle.
Should Liel Abada be dropped?
Yes
No
The Parkhead faithful took to social media to voice their feelings on their player and it’s safe to say he had not impressed.
Here’s what these Celtic fans said…
As is evidenced by these tweets, Abada is not the most popular man at Celtic for the moment. He only arrived in the summer and still being quite a young age, he may take some time to settle before he shows his best form in Scotland.
Still, he has just three goals in the league all season and hasn’t scored a domestic goal since September. Taking all that into account, it’s easy to see why supporters may get on his back after an underwhelming display.
It looks like patience may have to be key with the young winger.
