A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flooded to Twitter in response to a recent claim to emerge on their upcoming Premier League game on Thursday.

Following a virus outbreak at the Hotspur Way training centre, Spurs saw their scheduled Europa Conference League and Premier League games for last week both postponed.

Do you expect Thursday's game to go ahead?

However, reports have emerged ahead of their trip to Leicester City on Thursday suggesting there is growing optimism for the game to go ahead as planned.

According to the Daily Mail, Spurs returned to training at Hotspur Way on Sunday, which saw Conte waste no time in putting his players’ fitness to the test, as Spurs fans flocked to Twitter to share their delight.

What did these Spurs fans have to say?

“Conte’s tipsy Tottenham’s title charge is back on”

“We’re back SIUUUUUUUUUUU”
“Fantastic news, but with more clubs having outbreaks now, it’s a bit worrying for the league”
“We are back baby.”
“YESSS”
Music to my ears! … LETS GO!”

It was apparent these claims came as welcome news to the Spurs fans and it is understandable given they already have two games in hand on most of the Premier League after their other postponement against Burnley.

And results have been kind to Spurs in their Premier League absence, with fourth-placed West Ham now just three points adrift as Antonio Conte’s men hold two games over the Hammers.
