A lot of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to share their frustrations with the latest injury claim to emerge regarding David Turnbull.

According to reports, the 22-year-old is set to miss around two months of action having sustained a hamstring injury in their Scottish League Cup final.

Will Turnbull be a big miss?

The winger only lasted 27 minutes of the game against Hibernian at Hampden Park before being replaced, and it seems Turnbull will now miss games against Rangers and Bodo/Glimt.

With games in the Europa Conference League coming up in February, these Celtic fans flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts on the 22-year-old’s reported setback.

What did these Celtic fans have to say?

“I am crying , love you davie xx”

“Even more important now that we get Reo Hatate in and settled as quick as possible.”
“Ouch. That’s a very bad one if true, 2 months for a hamstring”
“Celtic board have to step up now so”
David Turnbull is cover for the midfielder we should have. I really like him. But he’s prime of his life and we have to worry about his pace as a liability.”
“Massivley overplayed in recent months… My guess is why its so severe.”

Turnbull has been a regular in Ange Postecoglou’s starting XI this season with 18 appearances in the Premiership, in which he has been able to find the back of the net five times and provide four assists (via Transfermarkt).

The injury update comes amid Celtic’s ongoing issues with Kyogo Furuhashi and Jota, so it is not surprising these fans have been left so frustrated by the latest update on Turnbull.
