Many Newcastle United fans have been reacting to comments made by Jamie Reuben following their recent draw in the Premier League.
Eddie Howe’s men finally managed to pick up a point at St. James’ Park last night. Having gone three games on the spin without winning and conceding 11 goals in the process, they put up a spirited performance against Manchester United to grab a 1-1 draw, with Allan Saint-Maximin getting on the scoresheet inside the opening 10 minutes.
It was a spirited display from the Magpies on the night, as they put up a total 13 shots, made 18 tackles and blocked six of their opponents’ shots as they tried to hold on to their well-earned point (stats via WhoScored).
And the determination that they showed was what Reuben focused on after the game as he sent the team a message on social media, stating: “We deserved more! What a passionate performance by the team and supporters. So much to be proud of.”
This tweet generated a lot of buzz from Newcastle fans when they saw it come across their Twitter feeds, with many using it as a chance to send a message to him and the board ahead of the January window:
“De Gea saved Man Utd tonight. With the right players in we get out of this mess Ashley and Bruce put us in”
Will Newcastle be relegated?
Yes!

No!

Hopefully, the fight that they showed can turn into some more positive performances down the road and turn into some wins after that.
