A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts following the omission of Giovani Lo Celso from Antonio Conte’s squad on the weekend.

The Lilywhites earned themselves three more points to keep the top four in their sights as they comfortably beat Crystal Palace 3-0 at home.

However, Argentine midfielder Lo Celso was not part of Conte’s squad for the game in north London, with Bryan Gil making his return to the team.

Lo Celso did return from his knee injury against Liverpool, and despite not featuring against the Reds, he was unable to make it back-to-back appearances in Conte’s matchday squad (via Transfermarkt).

What did these Spurs fans have to say after Giovani Lo Celso was left out?

“Good job from conte”

“Finished player in my books”
“Sell him. Been a waste of space the majority of the time he’s been here.”
“He’s finished”
“He is packing his bags”
“Gone in jan”
“And look how the results have improved without him. It’s time to get rid of him. He’s not good enough and is always injured”

It later emerged Lo Celso had missed the game due to a slight calf strain picked up in midweek after the victory over West Ham United.

The Argentine has found it difficult since arriving in England with just eight goals in 79 appearances to his name, while this season has been another struggle, making just seven appearances in the Premier League.

There have been claims suggesting he is hoping to return to La Liga, and it seems these fans would not be against a Lo Celso departure, with his injury issues severely hindering his game time.

As far as I’m concerned, he is only interested in playing for his country and going to parties, breaking covid restrictions. When we bought him it was a toss up between him and Bruno Fernandez. Blimey, talk about doing it wrong.
