A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flooded to Twitter to share their thoughts on the latest update to emerge from the north London club after their postponed game on Thursday. 

The Lilywhites were set to host Rennes in their final group stage game in the Europa Conference League on Thursday night, however, the game was postponed due to a large number of positive virus tests for Spurs.

With the game postponed just 23 hours before kick-off, that meant the club were all set to welcome thousands of fans into the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

As a result, the club have decided to donate the food set to be sold on the concourse on Thursday to a London-based food bank and fans flocked to Twitter to voice their delight at the club’s actions.

There has been no update on when the game will be rearranged for, as Spurs face a potential pile-up of fixtures with games against Burnley and Brighton & Hove Albion also postponed recently.

Despite the potential build-up of games the postponed games may cause, it is clear these fans are taking the positives out of the negative situation in seeing their club give back to the local community.
