A whole host of Leeds United fans have reacted on Twitter to the latest news that their FA Cup clash has been selected for TV.

Things could have been turning for Leeds as they netted a 95th-minute equaliser at the weekend and saw both Patrick Bamford and Luke Ayling returning to the matchday squad, with the former scoring the equaliser.

Will Leeds be relegated?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Now though, Marcelo Bielsa has revealed that Bamford, Ayling and Kalvin Phillips have picked up injuries that may derail their season further – but something that could be a welcomed situation is the FA Cup when they face West Ham United, which will now be on ITV1.

However, a lot of Leeds fans on Twitter weren’t happy to see this game being selected for TV.

What have these Leeds fans been saying?

“Putting a Premier League clash on TV in the 3rd round is part of the reason why the FA Cup is dying. Broadcasting profit wins again.”

“whats the point anymore”

@WeAreLeeds1919

“Nothing beats playing West Ham away and then 7 days later playing West Ham away!”

@GlenR10_

“Will we be able to field a team ?”

@James59263500

“Be nice for us all to have a good look at the U23s when they’ll be the full team in the champ next season”

@Andyatkinson86

“Our u23s will storm the Championship next season”

@UnitedLeeds_

“Shocked. Thought that was nailed on Monday night late kick off?”

@Andrewb70012162

“Just cancel it”

@Varneyshairline

“Announce loss”

It will be a huge task for Leeds to get past a West Ham side who are flying both domestically and in Europe, and these fans don’t seem to hold out much hope and appear to be annoyed as they face the Hammers a week later in the Premier League as well, so being able to view the match on TV is perhaps adding insult to potential injury.
