Leeds United fans have been reacting to some stats that have emerged about Adam Forshaw.

Having been out since September 2019 with injury, the 30-year-old midfielder has gradually become a more prominent member of the Leeds side under Marcelo Bielsa, starting each of their last five games in the league and completing 90 minutes in four of them – a remarkable achievement considering what he was coming back from.

But he’s been more than just playing a part in this side, according to numbers from statisticians Opta (gathered by Leeds United Live).

Forshaw has been putting in an incredible effort as they revealed some of his running stats from the past three games. He ran 12.57km against Brighton, 11.59km against Crystal Palace and 11.66km against Brentford, which was the furthest of any Leeds United player in each game – and the highest total on the entire pitch except against the Bees.

This totalled more than 35km ran in the space of eight days.

These stats were relayed to Leeds fans via the Leeds United Live Facebook page, where there were plenty of fans on hand to offer their praise for Forshaw, with many impressed by the impact he’s made since coming back:
