Leeds United fans have been reacting to news regarding their upcoming game in the Premier League.
Barring any last-minute changes regarding health issues within either squad, Leeds are set to take on Burnley at Elland Road this upcoming Sunday, in what could arguably be described as a relegation six-pointer given the position of both sides in the table.
It will be Leeds United’s first game since 18th December, whilst Sean Dyche’s men will be playing their second game since 12th December, with both sides having their schedules disrupted due to health issues.
The Premier League announced that the man in charge of the game will be Kevin Friend, with Mike Dean in control of VAR.
The stats for Leeds with Friend are not great, as @El_Loco_Jo pointed out that of the 21 games he has refereed of theirs, they have lost eight, received 37 yellow cards, one red and had two penalties given against them.
No surprise, then, that Leeds fans weren’t too happy with the news when it was relayed to them by journalist Adam Pope:
“Red card incoming for us and their centre backs to kick the pony out of us without sanction”
Will Bielsa be at Leeds next season?
Yes
No
Hopefully, Friend’s role in the game will be minimal and he won’t be the talking point when all is said and done.
