Lots of Celtic fans have flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts on the latest transfer news to emerge regarding the Parkhead club.
According to The Scottish Sun, the Hoops are eyeing up a potential move for Shamrock Rovers midfielder Danny Mandroiu in the upcoming January window.
Would this be a good signing for Celtic?
Yes
No
The report suggests the Hoops have been monitoring the 23-year-old since the summer and are confident of striking a deal with the Irish side in the coming months.
Celtic fans flooded to the tweet from The Scottish Sun as the transfer claim was relayed, and it clearly left these fans far from impressed.
What did these Celtic fans say?
“Please do not do this Celtic.”
Mandroiu had a solid 2020/21 campaign with 15 goals and five assists across his 34 appearances in the Premier Division, but his contract with the Irish side only runs until next the end of next December.
Although Mandroiu’s stats from last season are impressive, perhaps the signing of former Rovers star Liam Scales has left these Hoops fans concerned given he hasn’t played a single league game yet (via Transfermarkt).
