A whole host of Tottenham Hotspur fans were very happy on Twitter to see this fresh Ryan Sessegnon injury claim.

Sessegnon was signed by Spurs from Fulham back in 2019 as a promising 19-year old that had already racked up 120 appearances for his former club, but he has struggled to mirror that form at a bigger club, having made just 14 appearances since joining Tottenham.

Will Tottenham win a trophy under Antonio Conte?

Yes

No

No

The 21-year old still has pretty much all of his career ahead of him, but whether or not that’s at Spurs is up for debate given his injury record and considering the options Antonio Conte has on the left-hand side of defence in Sergio Reguilon and Ben Davies.

However, he appears to have overcome his latest injury which was picked up while away with England Under-21s, and Sky Sports is reporting that he may be available for the match against Leeds United on Sunday.

A lot of Tottenham fans on Twitter are delighted to see Sessegnon could be fit and available once again.

What have these Spurs fans been saying?

“It’s our time”

@CamzSavage

“He’s gonna cook under conte mark my words”

@KS_thfc

“Regulion your days are numbered!”

@bk_thfc

“He can be world-class at RWB for us, fingers crossed.”

@fcbets1

“Lm sess about to cook”

@ERIKLEREBIRTH

“He would’ve been a serious baller today if it weren’t for injuries, I pray he goes back to his best”

@yzyd4vid

“Yesssssssss”

@SchnaitmannT

Conte has a track record of bringing in forgotten players and utilising them in his squad, especially as wing-backs. During his time at Chelsea, he made Victor Moses one of his most important and used players, and then at Inter, he brought in Ashley Young to feature heavily in his Serie A-winning side.

So, Sessegnon himself and these Spurs fans will be hoping that the Italian can get the 21-year old’s career going with the club, as he could offer top-level backup to Reguilon or even push the Spaniard for a starting role.
