A whole host of Newcastle United fans were ecstatic on Twitter to find out both Steve Agnew and Steve Clement have left the club.

There is still yet to be any official confirmation from Newcastle United as to who Eddie Howe’s backroom staff will consist of, although the manager himself has revealed it will include Jason Tindall, Stephen Purches, Simon Weatherstone and Dan Hodges, as well as keeping former interim manager Graeme Jones.

Will Newcastle get relegated?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

With the addition of four new staff members, that means Agnew and Clement, who were brought to Tyneside by former manager Steve Bruce but remained at the club while they searched for a new manager, have now been relieved of their duties, as revealed by Chris Waugh of The Athletic.

A lot of Newcastle fans are very happy on Twitter with Waugh’s update on the future of Agnew and Clement.

What have these Newcastle fans been saying?

The remaining two Steve’s have left the building. Two of the worst assistant coaches we’ve ever had at #NUFC.”

@ToonMouthTyne

“Good riddance. We have had no style or identity with those two coaching the squad and every player has regressed since they arrived”

@DeanJohnson32

“About time. League one quality mackem coaches.”

@GJ_1892

“More good news”

@oftheVotadini

“Old fellows from the Bruce era need to get out. Doesn’t matter if they’re good or not.”

@JessicaMaine9

“Awesome”

It makes sense for the club to part ways with the people who arrived with Bruce given they want a clean start, and surely Howe will have wanted assurances that he would be allowed to bring in his own backroom team given the size of the task on his hands as he will want to be surrounded by people he knows and trusts.
