Celtic fans have been reacting to news that has come out surrounding the future of defender Greg Taylor at the club.
The 23-year-old signed in the summer of 2019 on an initial four-year deal from Kilmarnock as a replacement for the outgoing Kieran Tierney, and since then, he has gone on to make 60 appearances for the club. And even though his time in the side has been somewhat inconsistent, he’s still managed to rack up one goal and 14 assists.
However, it looks as if he’s managed to do enough with that time to impress the higher-ups at the club, as they announced that he has signed a contract extension that will see him stay at Celtic Park until the summer of 2025.
The news was relayed to the fans by the club’s Twitter account, where it seemed to be greeted with plenty of anger from the supporters:
Do Celtic need a better left-back than Greg Taylor?
The deal just happens to have been announced on what is his 24th birthday, so it must have been a nice present for him, although clearly not for this section of the Celtic fanbase.
