A whole host of Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left furious on Twitter over the club’s latest Matt Doherty news.
The Republic of Ireland defender has been unavailable for the last three matchday squads due to injury but with Spurs set to face Burnley in the Carabao Cup this midweek he is now fit and ready to be selected by Nuno Espirito Santo.

This may have been an opportunity for Espirito Santo to rest some of his top players but after two poor results in a row against Vitesse and West Ham United last week, the Portuguese manager may look to field a strong side to get past fellow Premier League team, Burnley.
A lot of Spurs fans are annoyed on Twitter that Doherty could play this week.

Judging by the reaction of these Spurs fans, Doherty is certainly not a fan favourite in north London, despite only being signed last summer and now working under his former Wolves manager Nuno he still can’t get a start in the league.
Doherty may well have to settle for appearances in competitions such as the Carabao Cup and Europa Conference League considering Spurs brought in Emerson Royal over the summer so he is going to be the number one right back.

Doherty and Emerson is a complete liability so Levy goes out and signs Emerson and lets Aurier go, as far as I’m concerned Emerson is no better than Aurier, in fact I’d go as far to say I think Aurier was better. What a waste of money by Levy. Levy doesn’t like spending it but is quick to waste it, ridiculous. Levy and Lewis OUT !!!
