A number of Newcastle United fans have been left unimpressed after Miguel Almiron’s agent Daniel Campos gave some new quotes about the player.

The Magpies livewire has recently been linked with a move away from the club, with a Spanish outlet reporting that Spanish team Elche CF are interested in signing the Paraguayan.

However, in light of the reported interest, Campos has now spoken out on behalf of his client. Juan Coronel (translated by Roberto Rojas) recently quoted him online as saying a move away is ‘improbable’ as Almiron is ‘one of the pillars of the Newcastle revolution.’

Many Newcastle fans soon saw the quotes emerge on social media and were more than happy to weigh in with their thoughts on the matter.

Here’s what these Newcastle fans said

“Cheek of him.”

“Someone’s changed his tone, thought we weren’t considered a serious club for his client.”

“Daniel Campos has been stirring about Miggy leaving for some time. Now he’s a pillar. Don’t actually want him to leave, happy to rejudge under a competent coach.”

“Has something changed maybe a takeover? Sure he was angling for a move away (agent) not so long ago… Money money money.”
“Wanted out just a few weeks ago…”
“Not what he was saying in summer trying to get him a move away.”
It seems as if these Magpies supporters believe Campos has ‘changed his tune’ due to the club’s sudden change in ownership.
Indeed, in the past, Almiron’s agent told a Paraguayan radio station (via Chronicle Live) that his client may leave Newcastle soon as to play for a team who have more possession.
