A number of Nottingham Forest fans have reacted with delight after viewing footage of Brennan Johnson scoring for their club over the weekend.

In their most recent Championship outing, Forest claimed a 2-1 victory over Blackpool. Not only was the win the first time the club had claimed three points at home in the league this season, but it has also extended their unbeaten run to five games.

Celebrating the rewards of the game, the club’s official Twitter account shared video footage of Johnson finishing off a fine team move to put his team into the lead – as well as claiming his first goal for the Reds at the City Ground.

It didn’t take long before Forest supporters flocked to the post to show their appreciation for the key moment.

Here’s what these Nottingham Forest fans said…

“Superb goal, I think it’s 1979.”

“Forest are Magic!”
“Best knee slide ever from the Brennan Johnson.”
“What a goal.”

The win sees the fine recent form under new manager Steve Cooper continue. Indeed, Forest have climbed up to 16th spot in the league table with 14 points after 12 games.

They are now just six points away from Huddersfield Town, who occupy the final play-off spot as things stand.
