A whole host of Sunderland fans are delighted on Twitter with the latest club video to emerge of Ron-Thorben Hoffmann.

The Black Cats got back to winning ways in the league against Gillingham on Saturday, though it was not an easy 90 minutes for them, with Elliot Embleton being handed his marching orders with 25 minutes still left to play, but they did manage to hold on for victory.

Sunderland were rather busy over the summer, bringing in nine new players, which included someone from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in the form of Hoffmann, who has started the last six games under Lee Johnson – but his performance against Gillingham may have been his best yet, especially his fingertip save from a long-distance header.

A lot of Sunderland fans are very happy on Twitter with one of Hoffmann’s saves against Gillingham after they voted him as their man of the match.

An easy one to kick off our quiz on the 2020 summer transfer window in the EFL, which player left Birmingham City to join Borussia Dortmund?

At 22 years old, Lee Johnson and Sunderland have placed a lot of faith in Hoffmann to be their number one, especially considering the highest level he had previously played at was in the third tier of German football, but with two clean sheets since making his debut on Wearside, he hasn’t let them down yet.
